Cricket : Chris Gayle excluded from T20 squad against New Zealand
WI vs NZ : Dominica, West Indies opener Chris Gayle has been given rest for the T20 international against New Zealand, while all rounder Dwayne bravo will still sit outside because of its hamstring shoulder injury.
All rounder Kieron Pollard, is set to be play his international T20 after July 2013, he was suffering from Knee injury but he played domestic matches.
Bowling allrounder Christopher Barnwell, and batsman Darren Bravo are also involved in the 13 squad. The three missing from the group that travelled to Bangladesh for the 2014 World T20 are allrounder Marlon Samuels, fast bowler Ravi Rampaul and opener Johnson Charles.
Samuels had scored only 86 runs in five innings during the World T20 and was also dropped from West Indies' Test squad after making a pair in the first match against New Zealand in Jamaica. Neither Rampaul nor Charles played a game during the tournament in Bangladesh. Dwayne Bravo has been discarded ever since he hurt his shoulder during the IPL in April.
The T20 matches will be played at Windsor Park on July 5 and 6.
