Football World Cup 2014 Brasil: Portugal snatched a dramatic match draw 2-2 against USA

ANAUS: Portugal keeping the dread, after a dramatic match made draw of 2-2  with the United States and keep their World Cup shining hopes on Sunday.

Portugal captain Christiano Ronaldo pressed a cross which was brilliantly headed by Silvestre Varela in the final minute of ending time Amazonia Arena in Manaus to snatch a crucial point.

The last-whoop leveller dispossessed the United States of a famous win which would have seen them complete a outstanding qualification from Group G, including Germany and Ghana.

The result also saved Portugal and Ronaldo from an awkward rejection from a group, in which they securely expected to qualify from.

The result also left Germany and United States on four points and Portugal and Ghana on a separate place in group G.

A draw between the Germans and Americans in the final round of matches on Thursday would see both teams advance.

US coach Jurgen Klinsmann greet his team´s heroic display. He said "Obviously the last second is unluckily but my guys were impressive," . He also added "We just have to get a result against Germany. My guys went to the limit but now they have to pick themselves up and despite this result we will go into the game with a lot of confidence."

 It seemed as if that would be enough for victory but Portugal flow forward with one last frantic attack to score.
