Cricket: Hosts Srilanka snatched victory over South Africa in second ODI
KANDY : Tillakaratne Dilshan's outstanding batting and bowling escorted Srilanka to victory over South Africa by 87-runs in second one-day International to level the series 1-1.
Dilshan played like 'one man game' knocking 86 off 90 balls and taking critical three wickets off 40 to set up victory for Srilanka asserting "Man of the match" award.
Srilanka, batting first, made 267 in 50 overs and Mclaren with late disruption taking four off 42 in the last six overs.
South Africa fought back with their in-form opener, Hashim Amla, who smashed his second successive century, 102 off 101 balls, but could not find a fellow batsman to stand by with him.
Malinga was the best bowler for Srilanka, giving Sri Lanka a pivotal breakthroughs sending opener Quinton de Kock (four) and star batsman Jacques Kallis (one) outside. Kallis was dropped (read more.....)
