Football World Cup 2014: Argentina set up final with Germany
SAO PAULO: After 120 minutes of scoreless, Argentina eliminated dutch in a penalty shootout in Sao Paulo on Wednesday to set up World Cup final for the first time since 1990 with Germany.
Even after extra time, both sides were goalless so many upsets occured during match but each side was best itself so penalties shoot-out decide the match .
Most important role in Argentina's victory was played by its goalkeeper, Sergio Romero ,who saved two penalty kicks by Ron Vlaar and Wesley Sneijder and helped his team to have 4-2 victory in semi-final.
“Penalties are a question of luck,” Romero told reporters. “I had confidence in myself and, fortunately, everything turned out well.”
“I don’t know what we’ve crossed now, but we’ve made it to the end,” Argentina Coach Alejandro Sabella said. “It’s a line of no return.”
