Colombo: Shaminda Eranga, Srilankan seamer has been expelled from the upcoming matches squad against South Africa due to its injured hand while Srilanka recently lost One-Day series against South Africa.
Eranga got his right hand injured while fielding in first test at Galle against South Africa in which Srilanka lost by 153 runs to give 1-0 in two matches series.
Eranga could able to bowled just nine overs while his sever injury need eight stitches to cover up, "Eranga will definitely not play second Test. The selectors will decide that whether to rope in a replacement for him in the squad," Sri Lankan media manager Rajith Fernando told AFP.
He has been the most effective bowler for Srilanka in this year so his absence will be observe effectively by Srilanka, his career include 25 wickets at an average of 27.64. Srilanka, now have two fast bowler left in the squad, Dhammika Prasad and left-armer Chanaka Welegedara.
