NEW YORK: Interests for soccer increased for US rather than 1994, when they hosted football World Cup.
American team left their country with some promises which they really tried to fulfill and same strategy they used when they played against Belgium, with hope that they will reach quarter-final even more than that, leaving good response.
Their performance in Brazil was really admirable especially when they drew match against Portugal, which attracts interest of great numbers of American public.
American supporters bought 196,838 tickets for the World Cup, trailing only fans from Brazil, which really shows that watching football of their team has been boost and especially love for their team.
"In 2010 we had 25 official chapters (groups across America) and 10,000 members. Currently we're up to 143 chapters and 25,000 members ... and 7,000 members joined in the last two weeks," member Daniel Wiersema told CNN.
"Only around 50 people came to South Africa with us, it was basically one coach-load. This year we arranged travel packages and accommodation for 530 members ... despite the large distances that need to be covered in Brazil, so it's changing."
