NEW YORK: Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams,the top seeds, as expected advanced in US open 2014 but out-play perforated it also.Also Wimbledon winner Petra Kvitova was deposed by a 145th-ranked in-experienced on Saturday.
While Petra Kvitova also took part in the latest shock exit in the women's draw at the US Open with a third-round loss to qualifier Aleksandra Kruni .
The 24-year-old, who succeeded to defeat Kvitova, joins Simona Halep, Agnieszka Radwanska, Angelique Kerber and Ana Ivanovic in falling early.
